System Description Sustainable Economic System
The system-of-interest for this System Description is the Economic System. The Economic System brings to life an economy in a specific city-region, nation, or the whole earth.
The Sustainable Economic System is created through the interaction of various human activity systems that exchange value between producers and consumers. This set of Human Activity System (HAS)s that interact to realize the Sustainable Economic System forms a living system-of-systems.
This System Description also identifies systemic problems, places to intervene in a system (Donella Meadows: Leverage Points), and systemic solutions to address these problems.
This document provides a number of Views of the Sustainable Economic System to explore the system from a number of stakeholder perspectives.
The system description helps to identify the:
-
systems that are interacting to create our current problems
-
current problems and the systems causing them
-
options for systemic solutions
-
system Intervention points and sequence.
